Entertaining the Wrong Number
Won Over By Reality
By Tim Bayer
BRIGHTON New York—(Weekly Hubris)—11/11/2013—At some point, it happens to everyone who has a phone: occasionally, you get a call from someone who’s dialed a wrong number. What you do with that call depends on your disposition. For a comedian with time on his hands, a wrong number can be . . . entertaining (for many, it turns out).
A quick review’s in order if you missed my post last week, a video titled “Pen Drumming.” Check it out if you have a few minutes.
The hapless caller who dialed stand-up comedian Jay Larson’s number in error is the focus of this week’s video share: Jay tells the story better than anyone else could, on “The Conan O’Brien Show.”
(If you, yourselves, come across an entertaining link or video, I’d be interested in seeing it, and sharing it with my readers at Weekly Hubris. Please contact me at: Email: [email protected].)
